    I think the biggest problem with AIs is that they don't learn from a game. Of course, when I say "learn" I just mean analyze how the game went -- like watching a replay after a game. Imagine having an AI that plays hard and never cheats but then after the game it "watches" the replay to learn what you did and what it did. It would then take that information, alter itself a little bit, and then, next time you try to use the same strategy against it, it roflpwns your doodz. In this way, everyone would sorta end up with this personal nemesis that has more or less designed itself to be the perfect opponent, and no two AIs would be the same.

    Wouldn't that be awesome?

    That would just not be worth it in a game that cost 60$ when %99.99999 of the budget goes elsewhere.

    </mrobvious>

    But, yeah, that would be awesome

    I actually thought this was something the ai was going to do after I heard the news of this "new" ai.

    Tried to make a self learning AI but blizzard wont allow AI to actualy write data and remember it for security reasons.(No I dont mean that Terminator or The Matrix will happen, but somone could make an AI that injects codes in your computer like trojans or virus if it was able to write data.)

    Besides I think its way too hard/impossible to make an AI see what somone did and actualy understand what it sees and implement it.

    There is some people working on a nice micro AI however that will be impossible for humans to beat since the computers wastly superior multitasking capabilities.
