  1. Re: What comes after "SC3: The UED Strikes Back"? What is the plot of SC4? 5? 23?

Given theres a good chance its the terran training stuff from the comics, some prediction. did occur.
  2. Re: What other ways could the xel'naga been drawn like?

Found some interesting concept art in the old WoL artbook.
Didn't think the Cobra, Hercules Tank and several other things had actual art, but apparently they do.
  3. Re: How you suppose the breeds of the extended Zerg swarms are composed?

Field guide lists several sc1 unit depictions as older strains, and given that SC22 cinematics use a different Zergling model for the Kerrigan abduction flashback its safe to say that most breeds...
  4. Re: DarkStar is closed down. What does this mean for SCLegacy?

See you on the other side.
  5. Re: How you suppose the breeds of the extended Zerg swarms are composed?

Current roster, heck just comparing the visual differences from SC1 imply a good amount of genetic change.
  6. Re: How you suppose the breeds of the extended Zerg swarms are composed?

More likely, the genetic history of the zerg contains many hundreds of organisms, and we see the current combat roster. The strains that proved most effective at their roles. I like to think lots of...
  7. Re: How you suppose the breeds of the extended Zerg swarms are composed?

That's kinda my point. Given how I said it was supported by the SC:Ghost units. Blizzard having them show up in other stuff means they exist - and if they exist, whats wrong with some of the weirder...
  8. Re: How you suppose the breeds of the extended Zerg swarms are composed?

On a personal note, I tend to view scrapped units as canon when possible, just being rarer then the contemporary game units. Somewhat supported by what happened to the SC:Ghost units and model...

    Re: Random Thoughts Thread

Medusa matches the hair tendrils. I'd save gorgon for a specifically scary brood.

    Re: Tribal skin tones?

One thing I like that SC2 did for unit portraits was provide some diversity in facial structure and eyes. Sadly this did not carry over to the cinematic 'Toss.

Re: Who likes to write fanfiction?

I have a few short stories written but I'm debating posting them or not. They've only been proofread by me so it probably has some kinks to work out. Might be nice to have a oneshot series on FF.net...

Re: [News]Premium Arcade maps now a reality

Okay, this coming from blizzard. They specifically contacted the mapmakers and worked out something before the maps were released based on watching their progress, that seems to be what they are...

    Re: Random Chatter Thread

Its easy to come up with a solution. The difficulty is a solution that pisses less people off.

    Re: Let's brainstorm a Starcraft rip-off

Going on the invasive ecosystem tangent, SC2 actually does a decent job with that. Showing creep withering and infesting or killing trees and flora, as well as the large variety of zerg-ish flora...

    Re: Let's brainstorm a Starcraft rip-off

Interesting to give the bugs hyperspace lanes. Some natural phenomena they are aware of and is outclassed by other stuff? Or is navigating it so complex it requires a hive mind.

Re: The Last Jedi - Trailer

The torpedoes were the guidance systems on the torpedo being fired from the right spot to slip through/persevere through the ECM from the death star, not a force trick. (going by novelization)

    Re: Let's brainstorm a Starcraft rip-off

Well, we can do a semi-hard sci-fi using apparent ftl such as alcubierre or transversible-wormhole system. Something that we think may be theoretically possible but still beyond current tech....

    Re: Let's brainstorm a Starcraft rip-off

Yes, because the humans that wear living insectoid/chitin armor and pump their guys full of grey goo to revive them on death are going to care about the morals of something sentient being food...

    Re: Let's brainstorm a Starcraft rip-off

Those rodents will make excellent slaves when pumped full of the same nanotech that our troops use to get revived. If not more food for the human hive is also good.

    LOL.
