It's not a freelancer, they're a ~100-person animation/game art company in Malaysia. The reasoning I assume is that SC:R was a low-budget side project, and I assume contracting a studio in Malaysia...

Yeah, everyone click through to the artstation link in VoK's post. The Zealot model in the 3D viewer there looks so good, much better than the shots in the game made it look. It's pretty perfect. And...

I made a matte painting of Char from some stock photos of rocks and then put my old low poly battlecruiser model in front of it.

^That's definitely correct. The flaps/pouches definitely unfold from between the frill carapace and the back carapace, same as they did in the original sprite.

Thanks for the support! I'll definitely do something, won't give up.

Here's what I'm calling the final marine and hydralisk, just cause I'm out of time. On to Protoss!

Haha, I don't even consider it 'more' diversity. There are obviously black men around, from the original cinematics to major characters like Duran, Warfield, Tosh and Reigel. I'm guessing women...

Not sure if I'll be able to finish the Protoss one. 23 hours remain. Here's where the Terran's at right now, and the Zerg. Gogogo!

I didn't have time to be super original so here's how my Zerg entry is going. Just a boring ol' classic Hydralisk.

Yup. Each person gets to submit 3 portraits, so I figure I'll do one for each race. VoK, you gonna do 3 protoss with SC1-style skin and markings? :P
