Re: Starcraft reboot ideas discussion thread

You make it sound like that cannot happen in sci-fi. It can be made to work, back in WoL when they first announced about Amon, I didn't think the concept in itself was crap, if only they executed it...

Re: Starcraft reboot ideas discussion thread

You don't really have to make it seem like the planets were glassed completely, Mislag. It really makes me wonder if Tassadar ever considered burning the planet enough to the point where he can fool...

Re: Starcraft reboot ideas discussion thread

This was kind of what I had hoped for in the Shakuras missions in LotV, where some of the Nerazim could get the satisfaction of seeing the surviving Khalai finally forced to give up the Khala, after...

    Re: New Starcraft FPS canceled

This is Blizzard we're talking here, Nissa. Being heartbroken and disappointed is to be expected nowadays. Once hell freezes over, they'll change their ways and you'll like them again.

    Re: New Starcraft FPS canceled

Tell that to war veterans who came home only with the mentality of "I need to do more killing, I can't stop anymore." In their heads you can argue it was fun and bright for them.

Re: Brood War wasn't great, here's why, we deserve better, here's how

They wouldn't, not without unconventional methods. To a degree I felt that had the DT Saga been trying to explore the xel'naga history instead of merely being a prequel to SC2, it'd have made sense...

    Re: New Starcraft FPS canceled

For both Rage 2 and New Dawn it at least offered a new look to the post apocalypse, bright and vibrant instead of just the dark and grim like so many others chose.

    Re: New Starcraft FPS canceled

You'd think the hype would only last a few months or something if the SC FPS happened, but then again I never got into Overwatch and looked at its hype. What was the hype for that when it first came...

    Re: New Starcraft FPS canceled

Either that or they're just too lazy to deal with it because they feel it won't be popular compared to Overwatch

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

It's a shame. They still claim they never cancelled Ghost, it's just put on the "on hold" shelf.

    Re: New Starcraft FPS canceled

Shame, and here I thought they'd do something to make up for the story problems in SC2.

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

Given our barbarian history, it's not entirely inaccurate to portray terrans as just that. It really makes you wonder how we would have evolved if laws and religion that turned us into a civilized...

Re: Starcraft reboot ideas discussion thread

And that didn't fit via the SC1 lore because the Xel'Naga simply underestimated the Overmind. It was why people weren't pleased when WoL revealed the Overmind wasn't entirely the bloodthirsty monster...

Re: Brood War wasn't great, here's why, we deserve better, here's how

I'm not here to ask for your help. Besides for your so-called not replying at all, you should have looked at the battlenet forums (I still plan to return there someday), there's little there but...

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

To make them as something else is merely proof that people can change, this applies to alien species as well. That's why I don't condone what Evolution did, though it was happening too quickly.

Re: Brood War wasn't great, here's why, we deserve better, here's how

Of course not, that should have only been a small part of a bigger picture. Well, for Amon it could have been better if he actually had more detailed reasons for why he did what he did

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

You don't want to be convinced because you refuse to accept people can change. Now granted, given all that happened in the SC universe, that's going to take a serious amount of time, but it still can...

Re: Brood War wasn't great, here's why, we deserve better, here's how

That depends on how you'd make the thread, and it has to actually build off of a reasonable amount of the existing lore, not just "tear EVERYTHING down and start from scratch."

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

Once again, it shows you continue to see the only "success" the SC2 storyline did was it failed everything. I keep telling you, not everyone is going to reject it like that. It doesn't make them...

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

Monster is only a relative term. I don't condone the Evolution story for trying to change the zerg to become something else, though the trust factor happened too quickly. Something like that can't...

Re: Brood War wasn't great, here's why, we deserve better, here's how

I wouldn't. The DT Saga never actually explained just WHO Ulrezaj's boss was, and Blizzard only said it wasn't Amon, so I'd rather see how that'll turn out (if they ever bother to getting back into...

Actually Nissa, since you brought up the topic of post WWII Japan, I hope you know that their actions in the war wasn't total BS. Look at all the European actions in their brutality in colonizing...

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

Yeah, such tactics are considered utter BS. I still remember back in HotS's "Fire in the Sky" mission, where you have to keep awakening the scourge nests to wreck the Gorgons. And I was watching that...

Re: Brood War wasn't great, here's why, we deserve better, here's how

Yeah I liked Ulrezaj's storyline in Dark Vengeance. It would have been better if they had said he was brainwashing the Aiur protoss to become Tal'darim on the DT saga to keep that agenda going.

Re: How dead actually is Starcraft?

I've read dozens of WWII books, Mislag. I know how there's still tension problems today. You can argue that the only reason such full scale wars aren't happening anymore because in the nuclear world,...
