    Re: Video: Remastered Building/Unit Sprites

imo, they are better lit and are a bit more pointy. Probably the most distinct of changes can be seen on the lurker's feet. They added some white detail and a bit more dust/dirt/grit. Some other...

That was so smart, imagine animating that sphere instead. Would have looked weird with 16 directions.

I'm in love with the hatching eggs. Good job Blizz. The Devourer cocoon is also a huge...

    Re: Campaign Portraits

On the first iterations of the Heroes model, Tassadar lacked the maroon "eyebrow".

    Re: Campaign Portraits

I must say all of these portraits are great. I wish they would use GNA's Aldaris. I just wish Fenix was colored differently, even if it was described as war paint.

    Re: Remastered Campaign Art

Yea, flipping the Zerg around was kind of heartbreaking. Proves how far they will go to impose themes or emotions over preexisting content.

    Re: Remastered Campaign Art

Some misses, but there are some that I really like.

All the scenic views are quite nice. My favorite being Zerg campaign desert and secret location. The Zerg briefing room also looks great.

    Re: Remastered Campaign Art

On one of the remaster interviews Blizzard talks about the "improvements" to the audio quality, and one of the employees confirms that they indeed rerecorded everything.

    Re: StarCraft & Atmosphere

It was very hard for me to believe that Raynor was a washed out hero with few resources; and, at the same time, powerful enough to host an army to be feared by Mengsk's political agenda. I mean the...

    Re: What Are You Reading?

Read the Cyber Effect by Mary Iken a couple of months ago. Thought it was a good book, though some things were taken out of context.

Maybe she just lied to Artanis and Zeratul. However, whether the Overmind could control her or not was irrelevant. Either way the Overmind was an obstacle for her independence and control of the...

Sticky: Re: StarCraft II Artwork Thread

Kinda harsh to say the game was unsuccesfull when it has been around for 10 years, IMO. It was the 5th most played game (in game bars) in South Korea as of 2015 IIRC.

    Re: StarCraft & Atmosphere

For me it felt orchestrated. LotV Zeratul is a complete different character to the WoL or HotS counterpart, and he was almost written as a "just die" role. When he dusted out into the wind, my...

Drakolobo, portraits are indeed different. My focus point right now is on copy paste armies.

I'm rather questioning the clone-like physical appearance of the Protoss army, and why it doesn't translate into their leaders or highest skilled warriors.

    Re: StarCraft & Atmosphere

The atmosphere in general was also quite "empty", per say. Not like SC2, where the clutter leads to nowhere (like Turalyon said).

Dialogues and texts were the only source for story at the time....

This is the core of the jest. I do agree with you. To some extent the Khala is preserved throughout the galaxy and the dictum of the high ranking Protoss echoes into the rather average population....
