Man, I have got to figure out a way to word my news posts better.... :#

I put BlizzCon 2008, but I can totally see how people would get the wrong message. In retrospect, I should have included the actual photo from the BC '08 ground floor.

Now we know what were the 4 years for. She had to evolve painted lips, high heels, and practice a model pose to look good on TV .

This is from 2008? Why we never saw this until now?

It was at BlizzCon - it just looks weird in those lights they shone on it.

Seriously why the flying **** does she have biological heels?

Who here fights in high heels? She's a former ghost, not a former runway model.

Jesus.

I suppose the Blizzard/Canon loophole in the silouttos/breasts (come on, who is she going to breast feed with those? A zergling is bigger than her)
is probably "Since she became sentinent and free of the overmind will; she modified herself in her own image"

It seems like she keeped her basic form, but i don't think that having soft tissues helps in battle. Ok, she can be internally very resistant to damage, but any soft tissue in the surface is going to get damaged. Anyways, the rule of cool drives Blizzard designs.

I say nay.

And for those criticizing that her heels and breasts are impractical, I think it is worth remembering that there are lots of things in Starcraft that are very impractical, many of which more glaringly so than Kerrigan's design. Off the top of my head, there are Goliaths and all other giant bipeds as well as the Carrier that builds Interceptors on-site.

They're claws on the back of her feet that wind up resembling stilettos by co-incidence. I guess...

I've gotten accustomed to them. :S

The thing that bugs me is that hair. I mean jeez... talk about overkill.

Goliaths have the benefit of sci fi fabrication where we don't know for sure what can happen when it's in the year 2500.

And what exactly is wrong with the carrier being able to rebuild interceptors without having to go back to somewhere to dock and refill on interceptors?

Kerrigan on the other hand has the same form as a normal human and unless she flies all the time, heels are not going to be helping her fight.

Having such a high center of gravity coupled with a relatively small base is almost never a good thing.

Since rather than bringing the unassembled parts with you to be built only when needed, it would be more sensible to just have them fully assembled beforehand. Whether assembled or not, the Interceptors being transported weigh the same but is less space efficient when unassembled. Moreover, the space needed to house the onboard factory could instead be used to house more Interceptors.

I agree. The only positive I see in bipedal machines (any walker, I suppose) is that they can traverse more difficult terrain, like the Colossus that can climb cliffs. But other than that, the negatives are instability, being easy to cripple, high maintenance, and high cost.

Actually, I think the Carriers in SC2 have a teleporter in them, to teleport the interceptors from a different location. I'm pretty sure I heard that somewhere. Not sure about BW Carriers, though.

Who said they DIDN'T assemble them beforehand?

I'm sure realistically the Protoss don't send their carriers into battle and THEN start building interceptors.

That's not true:

Interceptors are automatically manufactured and serviced inside the carriers’ bays, and a number of prepped interceptors can be launched in rapid succession. (http://www.starcraft2.com/features/protoss/carrier.xml)

Nevermind, I get the point you're trying to make.

Then again, having a machine which can also repair interceptors is useful.
