Looks like Blizzard's implementing what this forum was heavily debating a while back.

I thought people should know this.

1 Thor per Medivac makes sense, it does take 6 supply after all :P

I wonder, does the Medivac lower itself for pick-up, or the Thor compact itself for pick-up, or both?

Batch 51 for tomorrow, but enjoy the death animation movie on Starcraft2.com for now :)

Still seems weird to me that the Dropship can pick up the Thor, but then, I find it weird that something as small as the Dropship would be capable of picking up more than a single ST.

Wasn't this already confirmed recently? I forget where, but I'm pretty sure it was stated that the Thor could be transported.

We already knew the thor could be transported. We just didn't know only one could be carried.

(In Sonkie vs Yellow, we saw the warp prism could carry two colossi. However, it has a better lore explanation for that.)

Thor can be loaded into the Medivac. Colossus can be loaded into the War Prism.

The thing I wonder is how a drop ship transports a Thor 10 times it's size...Fairy dust and happy thoughts?

While no final decision has been done on how this will look visually- in the current build, the Thor is a bit smaller than before (as seen in the recent screenshots that have gone out) and there is an applicable animation that goes along with the 'pick-up.'

Maybe they just grab the Thor without using the cargo bay, and drop it into the battlefield?

Out of all of SC2's units, the Thor should not exist. It has stupid art, and does not fit the Starcraft world. It should not be transportable, but if they are going to leave such a retarded unit in the game, I guess it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, I thought they confirmed that Thor could be transported by Medivac Dropship. I find it acceptable since in the first Starcraft, two Siege Tanks can be supported by a Dropship. I treat the Thors the same as the Siege Tank in SC.

"You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind" -Ghost

Accurately describes the current Thor, who pounds through ground units with 30x2 total damage per interval at range 6, and 5x8 splash against Air at range 10. That's 60 damage for ground at great range, 40 SPLASH damage for air at insane range.

He's the heavy weapons guy of Starcraft 2 :D

I agree. Thor belongs maybe to the Transformers universe, but not Starcraft. Scyscraper with too legs - how creative.

I can agree to that, I never liked the thing much myself.

Yeah... doesn't anyone read the front page or even read the news board?

Nope.

Nope.

I don't either lol. Although I did happen to see the Q&A when I decided to check out the news board during that "once a year" period.

Reading front page news should be a requirement to post in these forums, tbh :p

I didn't notice about that. You should make a sticky post in the appropiate forum when you post news for that game, that would make it easier to see. Hell, i don't even load the main page, i just enter sclegacy/forums.

Hmm, I find it really lazy to not just check the front page, but what do I know :p

I'm pretty sure it's possible to add the 5 latest "announcements", in this case news posts, at the top portion of every forum. I'll talk some with the rest of the guys.

Edit: Meanwhile I suggest using our RSS feed, which is great=) You don't even have to check for news, it just pops up when your rss software checks for feeds. (I use the integrated RSS reciever in Opera)

I was just joking, actually. I do check the front page pretty much daily but I must've missed that Q&A batch.

Well, after doing that in Blizzforums for several years, it does create habit :p.
