My friend sent me this image of Kerrigan from inside the booklet thing they handed out after the opening ceremony.

I'm thinking maybe that suit either keeps her Zerg powers in check or helps her amplify them? It does seem to glow both teal and orange.

I'd speculate that it's psionics sensitive armor that changes color to indicate her power level (blue = terran psionics, orange = zerg psionics?)

Aha. I didn't know Kerrigan was Deathwing.

Makes no sense.

Maybe her stronger psionic abilities feed off the lingering zerg DNA within her? Or she has control over her zerg self, and can alter it to her liking?

Somehow, the artifact has made her more powerful. Probably cause they want her to defeat the voice.

OH LOOK, PLOT SPOILED. Blizz needs new writers.

Don't be silly. Blizz has never sought this (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ColourCodedForYourConvenience) except in player identity for multi-player.

Spectres are always orange, so there is precedent.

This should shed some light:

Precedence in what?

Precedence in what?

Quoted the wrong person.

Much more simple than that. The color of the armor indicates which focus Kerrigan uses in the mission. It is pretty clear in a few of the screenshots. Destruction focus is purple in the selection menu, and it shows a video of Kerrigan having purple color, while the Swarm focus shows the same thing, only in green. It's just a quick way to identify the focus. So this image, I think, goes to show that in one focus, Kerrigan can switch into QoB form.
