Red letter days, it's what we're in the business for. That day when something special happens. Whether it's marriage to the girl/guy of your dreams or just the perfect double cheeseburger; it's the kind of thing these communities are based around. Beating an old rival online; watching Boxer pull off an amazing play; the StarCraft II announcement; the Zerg reveal - these events are brilliant. Well today is time for another one. It's time for the 13th lucky issue of what we like to call...

This week the first of our contests, trivia, came to a close. Winners and answers were announced here.
Battle Report 3 was "leaked" this week. We reported on it here, and provided the highest quality video we could. If you haven't already, go watch - it's arguably the best so far; although there has been talk that the build it is played on is even older than that of Battle Report 2.
Two blue posts this week on different subjects, first a balance question. How does one stop a Stalker/Archon combination army? Other than stopping it being built in the first place, Karune had this to say:
Terran: Ghost's EMP + Stim Packed Marines + Medivacs would do very well.
Zerg: Similar to the original StarCraft, Hydralisks (since they have been brought down to tier 1.5) counter Archons well and Zerglings can be brought in to clean up the rest of the Stalkers. Positioning would also be important as well - making sure the Zerglings flank and are able to hit the Stalkers without going through the Archon attack zone.
Everything has a counter, some soft, some hard. The Terran infantry is a very powerful force now with many different iterations. Seeing the number of different plays that come out of the simple Barracks will be an experience to say the least.
Also discussed was the matter of upgrades being visible on units. While some will (Marine shields, Zergling wings, Battlecruiser upgrades), simple +1 attack or +1 armor are unlikely; a simple click on the unit being simpler and requiring less development time or knowledge of the game.
Available this week was a video interview with Dustin Browder and Chris Sigaty at Dreamhack 2009. There's no solid, new information but it's certainly worth watching, simply for the tidbits. Check it out here.
Blizzard provided details for the Blizzcon contests. The StarCraft entries, particularly for the costume contest, are always amazing and we expect the best out of each of you. Take a look here.

In what is becoming a regular contribution to the community news segment, TeamLiquid displayed the results of their beta baking contest. Some of the winners are just superb.
SCforall reports that Blizzard is now sponsoring GOMTV, the korean and english broadcaster of e-sports in general; StarCraft, WarCraft III and World of WarCraft in particular. This represents a move to enhance the e-sports community and can only be a good thing when it comes to StarCraft II and making sure it reaches the pro scene as fast as possible.
This concludes another edition of the Legacy Weekly, until next time.
The Legacy Weekly approves: Why, this very day, good sir.
